Hey, Guess What!?!
We're having We've had a big party to celebrate how wonderful we are together.
And we want all the people we like best in the world to come and be
a part of it. Wanna come? Thought so.
This action-packed page has (most) everything you need to know
Dates: Weekend of July 20th, 2002
Place: Kinark Outdoor Centre (KOC), Minden, ON
We've rented a summer camp two hours north of Toronto for the weekend.
We hope you can come early on Saturday to swim in the private lake,
go boating, play ultimate, do the ropes course -- in other words,
be at summer camp for a day. We want to have lots of time to visit
and play!
That night, we'll have a cocktail party and dinner under the stars.
You, of course, will be the life of the party, but you'll spare a
few thoughts for your wonderful friends Rich and Patti.
What to do now:
1. Tell Us You're Coming: Register here (if you haven't already),
and send in the postcard we mailed to you. If you didn't get a postcard,
just register here. If you aren't here, click
here .
2. Figure Out How To Get Here: Fly in to Toronto Pearson International
Airport. You can register at the website to find out who is arriving
at the same time. Use the site to arrange carpools. See the attached
map for directions to the camp. If you already live in Ontario, the
flying part is optional.
3. Figure Out Where You're Staying: Hey! It's summer camp! We've got
6 person cabins with bunk-beds. Use the website to register for a
cabin-group -- stay with your friends, or let us pick cabin-mates
for you. We'd like everyone to stay on-site, but if you need to, contact
us and we'll provide you with a list of near-by hotels (~30 mins away
from the camp).
4. Get Pix: Go through your old photographs and find pictures to send
in, to share Saturday night (put your name on the back if you want'em
back! Or send scans to us by email)
5. Pack (don't do this 'til July). Things to bring:
Bathing Suit, Towel, Sunscreen, Sun Hat, Bug Repellent, Sleeping Bag*, Pillow, Flashlight,
Clothes to play in during the day, Nice Clothes for Saturday evening
(outdoor cocktail party and dinner), Warm Clothes for a cool evening
outside, Rain Coat (just in case), Passport or Proof of Citizenship
(if flying in from the US)
*If you don't have a sleeping bag, let us know and we'll take care
of it
Important Notes:
No gifts please. We'll provide all meals, a place to stay for the
weekend, and a full day of activities
(lifeguards, ropes instructors, canoes, etc). We're asking for $50
Canadian (or $32 US) per-person to help cover costs.
If you want to volunteer to bring a dish for Saturday Night, art for
the site (indoors or out), or generally to lend a hand, please let
us know.
